House of 1000 Doors is a hidden object game that comes with a detailed and engaging storyline. With a puzzle design that is complex and engaging and impressive graphics, the game invites puzzle lovers to come out and play and put their little grey cells to the test.
Unlocking the Next Door
Players advance through the game by entering different rooms and finding the hidden objects that are listed in the bar at the bottom of the screen. Successfully completing a puzzle will unlock the next part of the storyline and allow players to venture further into the house. While there are not quite a thousand rooms there are enough to keep most players busy for a few hours although the repetitive format is likely to turn many people off before they reach the end, although some effort has been made to include a few puzzles of different types.
Opening the Door to the Beyond
Once you strip away the storyline, House of 1000 Doors is very similar to a large number of other hidden object titles. While dedicated puzzle lovers are likely to be able to look past this and have fun those who prefer a little originality are likely to become bored rather quickly.
